Pictures Greek Gods Goddesses. Hello. I would like to intone my two cents on the Greek Gods/Goddesses. It seems as if they, like the study of most things ancient, are taught to us at great length as kids (meant to learn the basics of civilization). As we age, they become memories as we fade into our daily non-academic lives. That is too bad, because we should learn each and every day. I went by the Boston marina the other day and saw the big ship Invictus--a throwback to the days of yore when well-heeled men would liken themselves to mythical figures. I actually think we should do more of that. Although I doubt Invictus' owner will ever read this page, i think it is a good thing to conjure the names of myth once in a while. it reminds us of our past--both in school and in history. ~Jeff |
